Team Orion is proud to announce the addition of multi-time French National Champion Julien Formentin to the racing team of Team Orion France!
Julien is going to use the successful Team Orion Vortex R10 Pro speed controller together with the Vortex VST Pro Race Brushless motors. The power will be delivered by the World Championship winning Carbon Pro 90C batteries.
FDL and Team Orion wish Julien a great continuation of the 2012 season - he is actually in the lead of the 4WD off-road class and second in 2WD off-road!
Team Orion Advantage Touch

The Advantage Touch charger can use AC and DC current as a power source. This means that you can power the charger from a 100 240VAC mains power outlet or a 11 18VDC power source, like a car battery. This extra flexibility means that you do not need two different charger or to carry a power supply around with you.
The Advantage Touch charger features a compact sized case, even though, we have managed to integrate and AC DC power supply into the case. The main advantage of this is that you don’t need to buy a separate power supply along with the charger and you can plug the charger directly into a mains power outlet.
The charger is equipped with a mini USB port. Thanks to this port, you can connect your charger to a computer and update its software. Updated software can improve the capabilities of the charger, it also helps it maintain its original value since you can always have the latest functionalities.
To improve the user friendliness of the Advantage Touch Charger, we have translated the software in different languages. The charger interface is in English Language by default and it can be changed to German, French, Italian and Japanese.
Adjusting the correct parameters into the charger is not an easy task for those that are not familiar with charging batteries. To help out these users, the Advantage Touch charger features a setup assistant which allows you to easily setup the charger parameters by following the on screen information.

For perfect installation in your car, the Carbon Pro 90C WTS battery features two connector positions. This also allows you to shorten your ESC cables for even better efficiency. Furthermore the battery has switched battery polarities between front and rear to avoid misconnections when the battery is turned.

The 2011 KO Off-Road Championships were held December last weekend at West Coast R/C Raceway in La Mirada, CA.
This years event brought in over 180 entries, which included 5 IFMAR World Champions, Ryan Cavalieri, Jared Tebo, Cody King,
Brian Kinwald and Hayato Matsuzaki. The race program would run 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday taking each drivers single
fastest run to determine the overall qualifying order. Then the top 8 drivers would go straight into the A-Main, with 2 car bump-ups
from the lower mains to make a full 10 car field. Triple A-Mains were ran to decide the Champion in each class.
